Generally, the workpiece needs to be pre-treated before spray machining, and there are many general pre-treatment methods. The measures taken according to the size, material, surface condition and quality of the workpiece are also different. However, there are two main methods for pre-machining:

  • 1. Typical pre-treatment process: Typical process: pre-defatting → degreasing → water washing → pickling → secondary water washing → neutralization → third water washing → table adjustment → phosphating → fourth water washing → passivation
  • 2. Advanced PLC pre-treatment process with automatic control: degreasing → washing → meter adjustment → phosphating → washing.

The operation process of the Teflon metal spraying method has the following five points:

  • 1. During the spraying process, the parts are not heated more than 70 ~ 80 ℃, so the parts will not undergo internal stress and deformation.
  • 2. The thickness of the sprayed layer is much larger than the thickness of the electroplated layer, up to 10 mm, and sometimes up to 15-20 mm.
  • 3. According to the requirements of the spray coating layer, it can use the same or different spray material as the part material, and can spray on various metals, plastics, carbon, wood and other materials. After spraying steel and cast iron parts, wear resistance can be improved. Using stainless steel, zinc, aluminum, etc. as spray materials can improve the corrosion resistance of parts, and aluminum can also improve oxidation resistance and heat resistance. After the steelmaking electrode is sprayed with aluminum and other composite materials, an anti-oxidation coating can be formed on the electrode surface, which can withstand high temperatures and reduce the unit consumption of the steelmaking electrode.
  • 4. Low cost and good economic effect. It is used to repair the value of worn parts. According to the data on site, it is only 10-60% of new parts.
  • 5. Spraying equipment and process operation are relatively simple. Not limited by part shape. It can be processed by various mechanical methods after spraying.
